A campaign has been launched to recruit volunteer coaches for one of the largest junior football clubs in the area. Boroughbridge Junior Football Club has vacancies for grassroots coaching staff in its boys’ and girls’ teams aged eight to 14 years.
The club, which has around 250 players taking part in regular training and games, was awarded FA Charter status, and has successfully met the Football Association’s requirements as a safe and sustainable football club with coaches trained in first aid and safeguarding. New coaches will be supported throughout with training to FA Level one paid for by the club.
Chris Fahy, the club’s chairman said: “This is a great opportunity for volunteers to come forward to help established teams continue to develop their football skills. The experience is hugely rewarding and keeps you fit at the same time.
“It would be idea for a parent who wants to get involved in their child’s sporting
development, an ex-player who wants to put their experience to good use or a student
keen to build their skills as they progress through the FA skills pathway.”
